As an organisation you can get involved at The Wellspring in many ways. Adopting The Wellspring as your charity of the year is a brilliant way to both engage your staff with a local charity and support homeless and disadvantaged people.
The Wellspring is proud to be supported by so many brilliant organisations. Corporate support and adopting The Wellspring as your company’s charity of the year is very important and motivating to us.
We can support corporate organisations by providing group volunteering opportunities at the project, groups of volunteers can take over our kitchen services, teams of up to 8 people can work together to prepare, cook and serve a meal to around 120 homeless and disadvantaged people. Groups of volunteers have also decorated rooms, supported with cleaning and the sorting of our donations. We can always find jobs for willing volunteers to do!
Corporate organisations help us to collect practical donations such as having clothing or food drives at work. The Wellspring can provide collection bins & buckets and offer support with fundraising events or provide additional man power when needed.
If you are interested in adopting The Wellspring as your charity of the year, or if you would like some further information about volunteering with us, please get in touch.
The Wellspring can offer:
Volunteering opportunities at the project – from teams working in our kitchen preparing and serving food to homeless people to team awaydays, painting and decorating, cleaning, sorting donations and maintenance. We always have jobs that we need volunteers to do.
Support with planning a fundraising event. The Wellspring has a fundraising committee who can offer support in planning, arranging and running your fundraising event for The Wellspring.
PR support. Links with local media. The Wellspring has a large social media following.
The Wellspring was nominated by our staff as their charity of the year. It is a fantastic charity to be involved with; the hard work and support which they give to people in Stockport is amazing. For us to contribute in a very small way towards what they do is great for all our staff. Equity staff really enjoy organising events and volunteering time for the Wellspring whilst also learning and acquiring new skills along the way. These skills also help us serve our tenants and improve our business.
As a local company, based in Hazel Grove, Trolex have been supporting The Wellspring since December 2012. At first, you may just think its fundraising that can help, but there are lots of different ways that you can help! By volunteering at the centre, it really is a great way for our staff to experience first-hand just what The Wellspring do and how they help the homeless people of Stockport – I really do think that for some people it has been an eye-opener as well as an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
